As always we aim to add something new at Alps in Style

UP TILL NOW:-

Within Chalet Esprit, our newly installed 10 seater cinema with incredible surround sound received rave reviews last season 2010/2011 - definitely need to give it a go this year, the kids loved it - big and small!

Our outdoor heated swimming pool this summer 2011 has been a huge hit for everyone and a great success. Next summer 2012 is nearly booked up with weeks remaining for June and September only - DON'T MISS OUT!

Telecabine running during the summer months now, so easy access for biking and rambling in July and August

NEW FOR 2012:-

Chalet Exige is self catered for this coming winter with 4 beautiful bedrooms and the added possibility to extend and rent our new Apartment Exige (2bed en-suite luxury duplex apartment) - giving you a total of 6 fabulous bedrooms, 3 en-suite and two kitchen/ lounges.

Our new transfer company Arrive in Style will be able to offer you very competitive rates on yoru transfers from Geneva airport 10% off for self catered guests, 15% for our Silver Premier catered guests and a fantastic 25% off for our Gold Premier catered guests.

New catered flexibility with our Gold/ Silver options -

"If you are looking for ‘less of a feast’, our simpler Silver catered package with good, hearty, homemade food and well-selected house wines might be ideal for you. The menu is reduced to a simpler breakfast, afternoon cake, three course evening meal and is generally less rich and elaborate than what the Gold package offers but still retains a very high standard. The wine is limited to half a glass per person per meal with the option to add on.

The Gold catered package is the service you should go for if you want to be treated to gorgeous, gourmet food: bespoke breakfasts, scrumptious cakes, pre-dinner canapés and apéritifs and a four course fine dining experience with well selected complimentary house wine with your meal. You can communicate with the chef prior to arriving on your catered ski chalet holiday to liaise on menus for dietary requirements and special requests. There will be a Champagne reception on your arrival, fresh fruit always at your disposal and fresh water and chocolates in your rooms".

Every year the Grand Massif excels itself in maintaining the highest quality of pistes and simple and safe access around the domain for all abilities and this winter they continue to excell. Lots of new work has been done to improve the ski area this winter, and we thought you might like to know about it!

LIFTS

• FLAINE - New “Désert Blanc” chair lift

The Platé sector has stepped up a gear. The brand new, 6-seater detachable Désert Blanc chair lift has revitalised the area, replacing the Platé and Perdrix lifts and linking the former Perdrix departure station to the old Platé arrival station. Comfort and speed guaranteed!

• FLAINE - Grandes Platières DMC/Cable Car
After last season’s upgrade when it was fitted with all-new 16 man cabins (each with 10 seats), this winter it’s the departure and arrival stations’ turn for a makeover; you’ll be amazed by their brand new colours and lighting!

• LES CARROZ - Redevelopment of the gondola entrance
The “welcome area” at the base of the gondola has been redesigned to improve the flow of ski traffic.

• MORILLON - Gondola update
The modernisation of Morillon has begun with a set of brand new cabins providing a facelift for the Morillon gondola.

PISTES

• FLAINE - Fun Zone
In addition to its legendary JamPark aimed at the experienced skier, Flaine’s ski area now boasts a new zone especially for younger skiers.  The new “Acticross” area includes a tunnel and elevated turns.

• SAMOENS - New lines
Piste redevelopment from the Tête des Saix down into Samoëns helps to provide wider, gentler blue slopes for early intermediate skiers.  Widening of bottlenecks helps make the Dahu piste more welcoming.  A blue piste linking Marmotte to Verosse provides a gentle new option to avoid the steep sided, narrow section.  Removal of overgrown shrubs and development of the terrain has improved the off piste options below the catchment pond.

• SAMOENS - Picnic zone
Stop for a moment’s rest with spectacular views of Mt Blanc at the Tete de Saix’s new picnic zone, with newly installed picnic tables and an orientation table.

• MORILLON - Picnic zone
A redeveloped departure point with picnic tables at the top of the Marvel piste allow families to stop and relax in a flora and fauna themed picnic zone.

• SIXT - Revitalised beginner’s area
Sixt’s wonderful beginner’s area has been brought to life with new equipment and games encouraging children as they learn to ski.

SNOW CULTURE

• FLAINE - Guaranteed snow cover
More artificial snow machines at the foot of the Faust, Almandine and Serpentine slopes means you’re guaranteed to be able to ski right back to the resort centre throughout the season.

• LES CARROZ - Guaranteed snow cover
26 snow canons have been installed along the Combe piste, between the base of the Gron chairlift and the base of the gondola, guaranteeing a descent to the gondola is possible along a gentle blue piste in all snow conditions.  Other canons have also been added to the Chamois and Marmottes pistes.

• SIXT - New canons
27 new snow canons have been installed throughout the lower slopes.
