Choosing your cookery course can be a difficult one - Why ours? Jez had harboured ambitions to eventually open his own restaurant and Alps in Style provides him an opportunity to demonstrate his culinary flair and passion for cooking and all things outdoors. With over 9 years experience in practical, family and dinner party cooking, having run a very successful luxury ski chalet for the past 6 years, you are in good hands.
We are adaptable, friendly and knowledgeable. Our experience is passed onto anyone who attends our course and we know that everyone leaves having learnt more than they could have hoped for.
What kitchen facilities does the course offer? You will get experience working and cooking in our two kitchens, Chalet Esprit’s professional, stainless steel kitchen and Chalet Exige’s large, open plan family kitchen. Jez demonstrates different methods and styles of cooking, whilst you observe and then its time to change roles. We find this the most beneficial and constructive method of teaching and above all it is far more sociable.
Where will you be staying? Chalet Esprit and Exige are some of the best chalets in the Grand Massif for comfort, style, location and facilities - All rooms are large with extremely comfortable beds and en-suite facilities. There is a heated outdoor swimming pool, hot tub and 10-seat cinema for your enjoyment whilst on the course. You are in walking distance from all of the summer activities, village centre and lakes.
